Timber Frame

Restoration of traditional timber frame construction and joint repair treatments requires a true appreciation of the material and its unique location. Our craftspeople can undertake both repair and replacement works to structural frames and applied decorative timber mouldings.

We have extensive experience of the standard jointing techniques using both traditional and modern tools, including lapped halved and pegged joints; table scarf joints; half lapped and notched joints; bridled scarf joints; scissor scarf joints; slipped and dovetail tenon; half lapped and under-squinted joint, and splayed scarf joints.
