FWA was selected by Historic Royal Palaces to be its trusted partner in the upkeep of Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace in London.  Having been awarded a five-year contract, we are responsible for all maintenance work for these historic, grand buildings.

Our role involves managing reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishment, decoration, alterations and prestige works.  All day-to-day repair, maintenance and minor works at Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace are carried out by a dedicated team of eight FWA specialists, including experts in both wet and dry trades.  Further specialists and additional resources are on hand for emergency and out-of-hours work. In addition to these maintenance services, we have received additional commissions, including internal and external decoration works and projects to enable disabled access.

Historic Royal Palaces is charged with conserving the five historic royal palaces and an amazing historical collection. Although the palaces are owned by The Queen on behalf of the nation, no funding is received from the Government or the Crown.  It therefore relies exclusively on donations from visitors, members and fundraising from other volunteers and sponsors to carry out its critical maintenance and improvement works.
